Pressing Forward: Sheridan’s GLX844RP Installation Sets a New Milestone in US Printing Technology

Brainerd, MN – Sheridan proudly announces the installation of the first Komori Lithrone GLX844RP in the United States at its Sheridan Minnesota facility. On track to be fully operational in January 2024, the investment in this state-of-the-art 8-unit, 44” perfecting press signifies the continued movement forward in Sheridan’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

The GLX844RP’s 44″ width revolutionizes printing capabilities, allowing Sheridan to produce sizes up to 7 ½” x 10 ½” as 32-page signatures—a significant advancement over traditional 40″ presses limited 16-page capability. The press’s unique configuration incorporates four reverse printing units that result in the elimination of any need to flip the sheet, allowing it to achieve speeds up to 15,000 sheets per hour. Boasting full automation, AI, and self-learning capabilities for ink presets, register presets, and air presets, this press ensures unparalleled efficiency in full-color printing.
